Frankie Muse Freeman gained national acclaim with her work
on the Commission hearings and NAACP cases.
Frankie Freeman earned her
law degree from Howard University and in 1964 was the first
woman appointed by President Lyndon Johnson to the U.S.
Commission on Civil rights. Mrs. Freeman has served the
great city of St. Louis as a practicing lawyer for more
than fifty years.
