Michael V. Roberts To Pen Foreword for Fifth Edition of
Who’s Who In Black St. Louis®

Columbus, Ohio – Who’s Who Publishing Company, the nation’s largest annual directory publisher targeting the African-American market, announced today that Michael V. Roberts will pen the foreword for the fifth edition of Who’s Who In Black St. Louis®.

Roberts is chairman and chief executive officer of The Roberts Companies, whose business assets encompass a wide variety of industries with 72 companies and more than 1,000 employees. Such assets include Roberts Broadcasting Company, Roberts Brothers Retail, Residential and Office Properties, Roberts Orpheum Theater, Roberts Hotels Group (11 hotels), Roberts Aviation, Roberts Isle (Nassau Bahamas), the R agency, and Roberts Tower Company.

Who’s Who Publishing Company founder and CEO C. Roberts’ broad range of professional knowledge and experience has been developed as both a business owner and a public official, having served on the St. Louis Board of Aldermen from 1977 to 1985. His endeavors have created thousands of jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities, raised the level of economic activity and enhanced the quality of life for the African-American community.

Roberts serves on the board of directors for the International Council of Shopping Centers and the National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters, and is board chair of the National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators & Developers.

A nationally renowned speaker, Roberts has been featured in a variety of prestigious publications, including Black Enterprise, Forbes, Success, BusinessWeek and the St. Louis Business Journal. He has also graced the covers of the St. Louis Commerce Magazine and the Kappa Alpha Psi Journal. A recipient of the Spirit of St. Louis Award, he is author of Action Has No Season.

David and Thelma Steward Sign on to Pen Foreword for the 4th Edition Who's Who In Black St. Louis

(WWT), and his wife, Thelma, have agreed to pen the foreword for the fourth edition of Who’s Who In Black St. Louis®.

The Stewards will be married 31 years in May of 2007, and they have two children and one son-on-law, David II and Kimberly and Jamil Blackwell. Based on David’s book, Doing Business by the Good Book: 52 Lessons on Success Straight from the Bible, the couple teaches a course by the same name at Salem in Ladue United Methodist Church.

Set for Release Monday, November 6, 2006

Columbus, Ohio- The highly anticipated Third Edition of Who’s Who In Black St. Louis® is set for release Monday, November 6, 2006, at the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis. The Unveiling Reception gala, which attracts some of the most influential and affl uent African-American members of the St. Louis community will feature both Lou Thimes J.R. of WESL 1490 and Vickie Newton, anchor of KMOV TV. Entertainment will be provided by FOCUS, Project X and Sunshine, as well as The Community Performance Ensemble. Doors open for networking at 6:00 PM.

This year’s foreword is written by Cheryl Polk, executive vice president and chief operating offi cer of the United Way of Greater St. Louis, and the coffee tablequality publication is more than 300 pages in length. New Who's Who In Black St. Louis™
Official Unveiling Reception Releases Tomorrow


Wednesday, August 17 - COLUMBUS, OHIO – Who’s Who Publishing Company, the nation’s largest annual directory publisher reaching the influential and affluent African-American market, is releasing the all-new and updated Who’s Who In Black St. Louis publication at a special book unveiling reception held at the Adam’s Mark Hotel in downtown St. Louis on Thursday, August 18, 2005. The event is expected to draw a crowd of more than 450 guests and invited dignitaries.

Says C. Sunny Martin, Founder and CEO of Who’s Who Publishing Company, “African Americans in the St. Louis area have actually accomplished much in the last 40 years. Who’s Who In Black St. Louis

February 2004 - COLUMBUS, OHIO – Who’s Who Publishing Company announced today the selection of Keith Antone Willis, Sr., as the local publisher for its upcoming publication titled Who’s Who In Black St. Louis. The company publishes an upscale brand of Who’s Who directories that highlight the significant and outstanding achievements of African Americans in several cities.
