C.T. Taylor Named New Publisher for
Who’s Who In Black South Florida

Columbus, Ohio – Who’s Who Publishing Company announced today that C.T. Taylor, a longtime South Florida native, has been named the new associate publisher for Who’s Who In Black South Florida.

The edition that premiered last year received overwhelming support from the black and local business community. More than 540 South Florida residents attended the reception when the publication was released for purchase to the general public. The inaugural edition featured pictures, inspirational stories and biographical data on South Florida’s African- American leaders and achievers.

Taylor will attempt to fill the shoes of the late Louisville, Kentucky, native Pamela Hutchinson, who served as the local associate publisher for the inaugural edition of Who’s Who In Black South Florida.

C. Sunny Martin, founder and CEO of Who’s Who Publishing, states, “Pamela, along with her husband, Jerome Hutchinson, brought a great deal of enthusiasm and dedicated passion in highlighting the enormous African-American talent that exists in the South Florida region. While we thought that Jerome would carry on the successful legacy that his wife established for our first edition, he has decided to pursue other business interests.” Martin states further, “We are sincerely committed to carry on Pamela’s legacy, and have committed resources to establish an annual Pamela Hutchinson Scholarship to a deserving journalism student at Nova Southeastern University.”

Besides being a Miami native, C.T. Taylor is a media innovator with a career that spans more than 40 years. After working for WMBM in high school, he launched a career in television broadcasting at Miami’s leading television station, WTVJ Channel 4, where he was a pioneer in black television programming. There, he hosted and produced the awardwinning show, Black Is. Taylor relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where he and his family purchased and successfully operated WPLV-AM in West Point, Georgia, for six years.

Taylor recently worked with Who’s Who Publishing in Atlanta, Georgia, and Birmingham, Alabama, with Yolanda Reynolds, the southeast regional publisher. Reynolds, who selected Taylor for the position, expresses, “Media and marketing are Mr. Taylor’s life work. He is sincerely dedicated, passionate and excited to represent Who’s Who in his hometown.”

Taylor states, “What a great opportunity to come home to see how my city has changed, and to produce stories and promote businesses that help shape the future of South Florida. I can hardly wait to get sand in my shoes.”

Martin also agrees, “We are excited to have our own C.T. Taylor serve as our new South Florida associate publisher. He brings a wealth of market knowledge and marketing experience, making him an excellent choice for this position. We also wish Jerome Hutchinson, who has worked so hard on the publication’s behalf over the past few months, all the best. As planned, the upcoming edition of Who’s Who In Black South Florida will also include a memorial tribute to Pamela Hutchinson.”

Who’s Who Publishing Company began in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1989 and currently publishes similar annual directories in 22 other markets. Upon release, Who’s Who In Black South Florida will retail in area bookstores, grocery stores and newsstands throughout the region.
