Susan Bass Roberts is president of the Susan Bass Group (SBG), a
boutique public relations agency headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
SBG provides strategic consultation in media relations, community
relations, nonprofit foundation management, program development
and special events.
With more than 20 years of experience in public
relations, community affairs and philanthropy, Bass Roberts possesses
a wealth of industry knowledge. Prior to opening SBG, she served
as vice president of communications and community relations for
the Atlanta Falcons football club, where she worked closely with
the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation.
Though her most recent emphasis has been on sports,
Bass Roberts has notable experience in the retail and entertainment
industries. Before joining the Falcons, she was director of community
affairs and philanthropy for Limited Brands, the parent company
of Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works and a number of other
retail brands. In that role, she led the Limited Foundation, which
provides $8 million annually to community organizations serving
women and children.
Bass Roberts joined Limited Brands from Time Warner
Cable, where she served as public affairs director, handling the
Columbus, Ohio, division’s community presence, government
relations and media relations. In 2001 she was named to Columbus
Business First’s Top 40 Under 40. She has also won two Beacon
Awards from the Cable Television Public Affairs Association.
A native of Columbus, Ohio, Bass Roberts is
a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts
degree in journalism and public relations. She has been actively
involved in the community throughout her career, serving on the
boards of several nonprofit organizations in Atlanta and Columbus,
including The Boys & Girls Club/NFL Youth Education Town and
Big Brothers Big Sisters. She is also a member of Delta Sigma
Theta Sorority, Inc.
