BLACK MAYORS IN AMERICA PRESS RELEASES™

Local Firm Releases Second National Publication Today:
Black Mayors In America

April 2005 - Columbus, Ohio – Commissioned by Columbus, Ohio’s mayor, the Honorable Michael B. Coleman, Who’s Who Publishing Co., LLC will release Black Mayors In America™ – The 2005 Edition, on April 28, 2005. The book will be unveiled during the 31st annual convention of the National Conference of Black Mayors, Inc., hosted by Mayor Coleman April 27-May 1, 2005 at the Hyatt Regency Columbus. The Mayor’s Opening Reception at the Franklin Park Conservatory the evening of April 28 will provide the venue for the book’s unveiling.

The 244-page inaugural edition of Black Mayors In America™ features pictures and biographical data on African-American mayors throughout the U.S. Says Mayor Coleman, “In its 14th year, Who’s Who Publishing has received national recognition for celebrating the achievements of African Americans. I am proud to see so many friends within these pages, mayors who have stood up in their hometowns to build a better tomorrow.” Founder and CEO C. Sunny Martin states, “In keeping with our mission, we are pleased and proud to publish the nation’s first historical and comprehensive book featuring the rich heritage of African-American mayors throughout this country.” The book features an overview of America’s first black mayors including trailblazers such as Carl Stokes of Cleveland, Tom Bradley of Los Angeles, Coleman Young of Detroit, David Dinkins of New York, and Harold Washington of Chicago, and much, much more.
