Samuel L. Odle Signs on to Pen Foreword for the Fifth Edition of Who’s Who In Black Indianapolis®
Columbus,
Ohio – Who’s Who Publishing Company, the
nation’s largest annual directory publisher targeting the
African-American community, announces that Samuel L. Odle, FACHE,
will pen the foreword for the upcoming fifth edition of Who’s
Who In Black Indianapolis®. Board-certified
in health care management, he is the president and chief executive
officer of the Methodist and Indiana University hospitals and
Clarian Health Indianapolis Operations.
Methodist and Indiana University hospitals provide state-of-the-art
medical care, and serve as the primary teaching adult facilities
for the Indiana University School of Medicine. One of the largest
health care employers in the state, Clarian Health Partners is
a large component of the Indiana Life Sciences Initiative.
Odle serves as a member of the board for ITT Educational Services,
Inc., the Indianapolis Department of Waterworks, the Jordan Foundation,
Crossroads of America Boy Scouts Council, and the Methodist Health
Foundation. Currently, he also serves as the 2008 campaign chairman
for the United Way of Central Indiana. Additionally, he is a past
chairman of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Odle received a master’s degree in hospital administration
and a bachelor’s degree in allied health education from
Indiana University, Indianapolis. He is married to Alexis Odle
and has three daughters, Tiffany, Olivia and Montgomery.

Tony Dungy Signs on to Pen Foreword
for
Who’s Who In Black Indianapolis®

Ohio – Who’s Who Publishing Company, the
nation’s largest annual directory publisher targeting the
African-American market, proudly announces that Tony Dungy, head
coach of the Indianapolis Colts, has agreed to pen the foreword
for the fourth edition of Who’s Who In Black
Indianapolis®.
Entering his sixth season as head coach of the Indianapolis Colts,
Dungy took the helm of the club on January 22, 2002, after serving
six seasons with Tampa Bay. He has directed the Colts to a 60-20
regular season record, fi ve playoff appearances, four AFC South
titles, two AFC Championship game appearances, and to a 29-17
victory over Chicago in Super Bowl XLI. The club earned its fourth
World Championship this past February, the first title game appearance
by the franchise in 36 years.
Dungy joined the Colts after being the most successful head coach
in Tampa Bay history. In 1997, Dungy was named Professional Coach
of the Year by the Maxwell Football Club after guiding the Buccaneers
to a 10-6 record and a Wild Card playoff victory over Detroit.
In 2006, Dungy became the first Colts head coach to earn five
consecutive double-digit victory seasons. Indianapolis also became
the only NFL team to open consecutive seasons with 9-0 records.
Previously, Dungy served in various coaching positions with the
Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Tony and his wife, Lauren, are the parents of six children, daughters
Tiara and Jade, and sons, Eric, Jordan and Justin, and the late
James Dungy.

Ohio – The highly anticipated release of Who’s
Who In Black Indianapolis®
is set for release on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at a special book
unveiling reception at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis beginning
at 6:30 p.m. Deanna Dewberry and Anthony Calhoun, both of WISH-TV,
will serve as mistress and master of ceremonies. The Metropolitan
Youth Orchestra, directed by Betty Perry, will provide the evening’s
entertainment. More than 400 invited guests and dignitaries, including
Indianapolis’ African-American leaders and achievers are
expected to be in attendance.
