Donna James Signs on to Pen Foreword
for Sixth Edition of
Who's Who In Black Columbus®
Columbus,
Ohio – Who’s Who Publishing Company, the nation’s
largest annual directory publisher targeting the African-American
market, announced today that Donna James will pen the foreword for
the sixth edition of Who’s Who In Black Columbus®.
Donna is managing director of Lardon & Associates LLC, where
she provides advice and counsel to businesses through their board
of directors, as well as senior leadership on governance, new business
development, strategy, and organizational and leadership development.
She also serves as a corporate director for three Fortune 500 public
companies, is a former president of Nationwide Strategic Investments,
and a former executive vice president for Nationwide Insurance and
Financial Services.

Donna serves on three Fortune 500 boards, and chairs the board of

She is also an advisor to the North Carolina A&T State University
School of Business, and a faculty member for the Jefferson Academy
for Leadership and Governance. Her past community roles include
the United Way of America board of governors, the YWCA of Columbus
(chair), The Ohio State University Council of Women and the Wexner
Center for the Arts, among others.
Additionally, Donna has received several recognitions, including
being named in 2005 by Black Enterprise as one of the 75 Most Powerful
African Americans in Corporate America, and receiving the national
Beta Gamma Sigma Business Achievement Award, an honorary doctorate
degree from Tiffin University and the YWCA of Columbus Women of
Achievement Award.

Interesting Personalities to be Featured on ABC 6 Broadcast July
9th Through July 13th

the broadcast of a series highlighting Columbus’ Interesting
Personalities on July 9th through July 13th at 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Sunny Martin is happy to have a media partnership with ABC 6 that
celebrates the noteworthy achievements and contributions of African
Americans in the Central Ohio community. Because many of the images
we see of blacks in the media are of those that can run, jump, sing
or dance, Martin believes that “many people still do not know

featured in Who’s Who In Black Columbus®.
This special broadcast series will showcase some of the Interesting
Personalities featured in the fi fth edition of the publication,
which was released April 30, 2007. This includes individuals such
as Steven A. Davis, CEO of Bob Evans, Earl Jennings, Sr. VP of JPMorgan
Chase Bank, The Black Youth Movement, and WSYX/WTTE Anchor Yolanda

will be released by Who’s Who Publishing Company, the nation’s

market, Monday, April 30, 2007, at the Hyatt Regency Columbus. Mayor
Michael B. Coleman is chair of this year’s Unveiling
Reception gala, which is expected to host dignitaries and draw hundreds
of Columbus’ affluent and influential movers and shakers from
all areas of the community. Pastor Mike Reeves of Radio One and
Yolanda Harris of WSYX/WTTE, will serve as master and mistress of
ceremonies for the event; Gene Walker’s Generations will provide
entertainment.

Fourth Edition
of Who’s Who In Black Columbus®
released
Columbus,
Ohio – Who’s Who Publishing Company, the nation’s
largest annual directory publisher targeting the African-American
market, released Who’s Who In Black Columbus®
to a standing room only crowd January 24, 2006. The highly anticipated
fourth edition was unveiled at a reception at the Hyatt Regency
Ohio Center. More than 530 local dignitaries and special guests
attended the gala, which featured WBNS 10TV anchor Angela Pace as
the mistress of ceremonies, and the East High School Marching Band.
With a foreword written by local attorney
and former state representative Otto Beatty, Jr., the coffee table
quality publication is 318 pages in length. It offers readers pictures
and biographical data on more than 400 local leaders in central
Ohio including some of Columbus’ Interesting Personalities,
Most Influential, Corporate Brass, Spiritual and Community Leaders,
and many more. Additionally, the 2006 edition features a tribute
to the late Bill Moss, a member of the Columbus Public Schools Board
of Education, and a vocal and untiring champion for the rights of
children within the school district.

- The 2004-2005 Edition will be officially released on June 9, 2004
at a special book unveiling reception held at the Hilton at Easton.
The event, which is hosted by Alex Shumate, is expected to bring
in over 300 guests and dignitaries including Columbus Mayor Michael
Coleman.
Who’s Who In Black
Columbus®
is an annual coffee table publication that features pictures and
biographical data on the achievements of African American men and
women who have made their mark in their careers and professions
as well as in the community. This publication, which is an essential
networking resource for the community and serves as both a historical
document and a classroom resource, features pictures and biographical
data on over 320 influential leaders and achievers in the Columbus
community.
New to this edition is a section highlighting
some of Columbus’ most interesting personalities. Other featured
