Jo Ann Hattix a Wisconsin native is the president and founder of JN Hunter & Associates. The organization provides the following services: business analysis, diversity training and event planning.

As the former public relations director for Mississippi Valley State University (Itta Bena, MS) Ms. Hattix played a major role in the university's fundraising efforts and capitol campaign. Prior to joining the university she was a news reporter for The Greenwood Commonwealth in Greenwood, Mississippi, where she was the recipient of many honors and awards including the Associated Press Award. Ms. Hattix work has appeared in the following publications, The New York Daily News, Sports Illustrated, and Detroit Free Press, Ebony, Jet, the Jackson Clarion Ledger, The Chronicle of Higher Education and many other publications. She has the opportunity to interview blues legend B. B. King, civil rights leader, Rev. Jesse Jackson, football great, Jerry Rice and academy award winning actor Morgan Freeman.

Ms. Hattix has earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University.

Ms. Hattix and her husband, Hugh are the parents of one adult son, Jason and a granddaughter, Nijeria.
