After three years in the Florida House of Representatives, the Honorable Ronald A. Brisé has become one of the legislators to watch in South Florida. Since being elected in 2006, he has quickly gained favor amongst his colleagues and constituents for standing firm on issues such as health care, education, business and telecommunications.
Brisé was recently voted in as vice chair of the Florida Black Caucus and vice president of the Florida Mainstream Democrats. In addition to several of his bills passing in previous legislative sessions, in 2009 he championed a broadband bill to bridge the digital divide, and encourage statewide availability and use of broadband technology.
Previous to putting two MBA degrees to use as founder of S.P.C. LLC, Brisé was vice president and chief operating officer of an international telecommunications company with a presence in 40 countries. He is active in several nonprofit organizations and sits on the governing board for North Shore Medical Center in Miami. Brisé is happily married to Jo An Salomon and together they are proud parents of a 3-year-old son.
